Goldman Sachs Cautiously Optimistic on NIO’s Sales Momentum Amid New Model Launches
NIO's recent vehicle launches—the L90 and ES8—have driven a measurable uptick in sales, with both models gaining competitive ground in China's NEV market. Price and size advantages have translated to stronger orders, evidenced by the L90's delivery figures of 10,600 and 11,000 units in its first two months, a stark contrast to the L60's 800 and 4,300 during the same period.
Goldman Sachs analyst Tina Hou projects stabilized monthly volumes of 8,000 for the L90 and 5,000 for the ES8 facelift by 2026. The accelerated pipeline, including the L80 and ES9 launches plus an ES7 refresh, is expected to sustain momentum. 'The L80, positioned as a family-focused SUV, could capture 80% of the L90's volume,' Hou notes, underscoring NIO's strategic expansion.
